EPA Recommends R2v3

EPA recommends RIOS (R2v3) for recycling electronic waste. The R2v3 standard is a set of guidelines and best practices for the electronics recycling industry, managed by SERI (Sustainable Electronics Recycling International). SERI (Sustainable Electronics Recycling International) is an independent  non -profit organization that oversees the development and implementation of the R2 (Responsible Recycling) standard. This standard focuses on ensuring the responsible management of used and end-of-life electronics to promote environmental sustainability, data security, and worker health and safety.

It's important to note that guidelines and standards in the recycling industry are subject to updates and revisions. Therefore, for the latest information on any EPA recommendations or endorsements related to the R2v3 standard, it is advisable to check the official EPA website or contact relevant authorities directly. Additionally, staying informed about industry developments through official communications from SERI and other regulatory bodies will provide the most accurate and current understanding of recommended practices in the electronics recycling sector.
